The digital revolution introduced advanced computing capabilities spurring the interest of pharmaceutical companies in using big data to monitor and study drug safety. Significant improvements in computing power and speed have allowed the automation of drug safety surveillance signal detection in large complex databases.
The objective of this course is to understand the application of Big Data in Pharmacovigilance and the advantages of employing algorithmic models.
We will discuss the uses of big data for drug safety post-marketing assessment:
